Anna Barlow the MetroRehab Hospital Stroke Coordinator coordinated a workshop for health professionals at the Agency for Clinical Innovation’s Stroke Education Day at the North Sydney Education & Conference Centre. Anna outlined the rationale behind the use of goal setting in stroke rehabilitation and how this process is incorporated into service delivery in NSW. Emphasis was placed on the importance of how health professionals frame conversation with patients about their expectations. Education about stroke and ongoing feedback to patients and their families is essential to ensure collaboration and improved outcomes for stroke survivors.
