Our brand new LifeWorks Petersham location will deliver multidisciplinary allied health supports for the delivery of high quality rehabilitation and disability supports to the Petersham Community and beyond. About the role… 

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and driven Allied Health Team Leader to launch and grow our new LifeWorks unit in the heart of Petersham. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a world class therapy service delivered with high quality support.

Reporting to the General Manager of Royal Rehab Private Petersham, this role will provide direction and leadership to a multidisciplinary team, build and drive our high-quality clinical service offering, and develop local relationships and referral pathways.

With a focus on growth and building a strong team, the successful candidate will be responsible for professional and clinical leadership, organisational management, and successful delivery of Allied Health services of LifeWorks Petersham. This role will also maintain a suitable clinical caseload in line with relevant discipline area whilst supporting your multidisciplinary team. This is a unique health offering for the Petersham community and we are looking for a health professional who can lead and grow this innovative opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build, lead and develop a multidisciplinary allied health team providing NDIS and other private therapy services to the local community.
  • Monitor and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure customers receive tailored services with individualised outcomes.
  • Develop and nurture internal and external relationships with stakeholders.
  • Promote a customer-centred service culture.
  • Lead and manage a profitable health business.
  • Maintain a suitable clinical caseload in line with relevant discipline.

 

About you.. 

With a high level of emotional intelligence, you are adept at building exceptional working relationships with your team, customers and a range of other internal and external stakeholders as you grow the site.

Your ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders will support the growth of your team and services ensuring everyone is working towards a common goal that supports the needs of our customers and community.

You must have the skillset hands-on involvement with supporting a clinical caseload and professional growth of team to identify operational improvements and influence others to drive change, whilst providing members.

Essential Criteria: 

  • Degree in a relevant Allied Health discipline (e.g. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology) with current AHPRA registration (or relevant) and minimum 4 years clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in management, leadership and coordination of service.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills in rehabilitation, including experience in the assessment and treatment of neurological patients (including stroke, acquired brain injury and neurodegenerative conditions).
  • Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to supervise junior therapists and AHAs.
  • Ability to work with and across multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to negotiate and organise effectively.
  • Experience navigating funding through the NDIS.
  • Experience working with clients within a private practice model, NDIS, private health and Medicare.
  • Management of the financial performance of a team, including the ability to prepare and monitor a budget.
  • High level communication skills (written and verbal).
